This week, the children have enjoyed an assembly hosted by Wolsingham School. The children learnt all about the secondary school by taking part in a large group game of pictionary, with the right-hand side group taking the overall victory.

The children also got to know more about King James I Academy this week through a morning visit. They took part in challenging drama and dance sessions. Mr Murgatroid commented that all children participated well and showed excellent behaviour. Well done Year 6.

Welcome to Year 6!

The children have made a fantastic start in Year 6. They are thoroughly enjoying our World War II topic 'We'll meet again'. It has been so wonderful to see the children sharing their enthusiasm with artefacts from home. Within English lessons this week, the children have explored the characters of Tom Oakley and William Beech from 'Goodnight Mr Tom' through drama and analysis of the text.

This half term, Year 6 are experiencing various activities at Parkside Academy. This week, 6T enjoyed taking part in a history lesson looking at a range of artefacts, and 6O were able to have a go at a number of athletic events, such as sprinting and the high jump. We are looking forward to finding out what the children will experience next week.
