- About Us
Fern has been incredibly busy learning from home. She has used her huge whiteboard just like we do in school. As you can see she has been practicing her high frequency words, the days of the week, telling the time and her times tables. She has also had her two little helpers with her on the right! Fern has then looked at her family tree. She has went all the way back to her great grandparents. Well done Fern!
Harrisson created a restaurant for his grandma and granda called, "Garden View". He set the table, wrote a menu of what he was serving that day, took down their orders and served them! He even made the delicious desserts himself! Harrisson managed to use his math skills to add the bill altogether and worked out how much money his grandma and granda needed to pay. He even gave himself a tip which I think he thoroughly deserved for the fabulous service. Once everyone had finished their meal, Harrisson took the left overs from lunch and fed them to some hungry goats whilst out on his daily walk. Well done Harrisson. It looks like you had a lovely day with your grandma and granda.
Finlay built this amazing spaceship as part of a lego challenge. This must have taken you ages Finlay. I love it - Well done!
Sophie has used last week's learning from home work we set to create this beautiful diagram of a butterfly! I'm particularly impressed as she has broke her writing arm and yet, she has still completed an amazing piece of work; that's dedication and perseverance! She has drawn, decorated and labelled a huge butterfly, showing it's different body parts which are; wings, antennae, head and abdomen. Very impressive Sophie! Well done.
The list of work Paddy has completed is endless! He has completed work sheets showing he can match animals to their habitats, label 2D shapes, label the different kinds of weather, label body parts of a human, spell the days of the week, match the senses to the body part they use, write a poem and use his ordinal numbers (first, second, third....) to follow instructions! On top of all of that work, he has also been giving a helping hand to build a new extension on his house AND showing his artistic side by painting and hiding rocks! Well done Paddy!
Millie has sent me a lot of work this week. She has really pushed herself to complete a wide range of activities and i'm very impressed.
Millie has been focusing on completing as many reading quizzes as possible and has really pushed herself to get as many gold stars as she can. She has also been on Little Bird Spelling and Spelling Frame. In maths Millie has completed number lines, solved tricky word problems which include 2-digit numbers, interpreted graphs, completed tally charts and so much more! She has been challenging herself musically this week by practicing keyboard with her lovely sister Bryony and she also made her very own little drum kit using recyclable materials! Millie has also built an amazing marble run which is very impressive! Well done Millie!
Teddy has been working on a time capsule! I think this will be amazing to look back upon in a few years time to see how things have changed and what has stayed the same! He has also been knuckling down with his phonics, making sure he completes one lesson a day, just like we would do in school! He has been reading one book a day and played maths games online! Well done for working so hard Teddy!
Logan has been busy exploring the woods and he found some fungus growing on a tree! He celebrated VE day with his family in the garden, competing in lots of games and races.
Mia has been super busy this week designing and building her very own bug hotel with the help of her Dad. She used used wood, plastic, brick, cardbaord tubes and nails to build the frame. Next, she went on a hunt around her garden to add the leaves, sticks, acorns and sand to make her hotel nice and cosy. We can't wait to see what residents appear in your hotel Mia! Well done!
Imogen visited Stanhope Ford where she saw some ducks. She decided to create a picture of the ducks using the natural resources she could find around her. It's so creative! She then wrote some sentences to go with her picture using capital letters, adjectives and full stops.
Joshua has been busy using his bricks and trains to help him make equal groups of 3. He has also been working through his Year 1 SPAG book! Great job Joshua!
