Our First School Trip

This week has already been so busy... To start, we have been on our FIRST EVER school trip!

We went to the local park to look at all the changes taking place as we are heading into autumn. We found lots of signs to suggest autumn in full swing for example, pine cones, yellow leaves, helicopters and an acorn! It was so much better to actually get out and walk around the local community and to experience the changes rather than learning about them through a screen. It gave us the opportunity to actually use all of our senses.

A big focus point in our conversations this week is the changes of autumn. At home, it might be nice to discuss what your children can see, feel, smell and hear outside. Our listening skills were so well tuned yesterday that we could even hear the beck.
